It is widely regarded as a sacred symbol of divinity, purity and truth across many religions and spiritual traditions. Light can refer to wisdom, goodness and even life itself. A simple concept with enormous weight and breadth. So too, for an artist, light is holy. The illumination of our inspirations can be as important as the creation itself.
Light is the language of the artist.
In these seemingly all encompassing and weighty times, Light is also the counterpoint to heavy. Lightness and levity level and lessen the gloom, shrinking it and making it manageable, while serving as tactics to erode its power. Light wins.
It is with these thoughts that we invited 30 artists to step out of the darkness and celebrate the sacred and mighty and join us in honoring Light in a group invitational exhibit at Studio &
